Queen of the Post-its and Future O.D.

Becoming an optometrist has been Julie’s career goal since she was in middle school. Julie began her optometry journey at age 15 by shadowing Dr. E. and watching her perform eye exams. After sitting in on the first eye exam, Julie knew that optometry is her calling.

Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba and is now a student at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. During her term breaks, Julie works at Eyeris Eyecare as an ophthalmic technician while learning many valuable skills in the eyecare field. Julie is extremely grateful to have Dr. E. and the other ladies at Eyeris Eyecare as role models and mentors.

When Julie is not working or studying, she can be found staying active outdoors, baking, and learning new languages.
